I’ve been meaning to get back to you with feedback, been busy! As always, the workshop and the results were powerful!
Comments I heard from the students were positive. As always, though, there was 1 person who didn’t like the workshop. We won’t talk about her, right?
Several of them said you reminded them of Mary Poppins, the way you breezed into the room with your suitcase full of magic. They all said they found you to be a gentle person who is enthusiastic about your work and theirs. They were surprised by how much they were able to get done in so short a time, and they felt it was because of your expert and caring guidance. They said that asking them to give their names when they talked about the masks helped them to see the importance of owning the masks they wear. My guess is that the girl who didn’t like it simply doesn’t like revealing herself.
They wished (and so do I) that I had given you more time to talk about your own art: how you got into it, what you like about your work and what makes it difficult.
I haven’t had the time to turn in the honorarium form yet cuz the class is so intense. It’s over next week and I’ll get it in a.s.a.p. Hopefully, they’ll pay you in short order.
Could you pencil in March 30th for my Saturday class at MCTC ... around 1:00? Maybe also Monday 3/25 around 6:30.
